Experiential design
During my three-month role as a Creative Design Intern, I worked closely with the Creative Producer and Art Director to develop the spatial narrative of The Dream Makers Gallery. I supported the layout and visual detailing of walls, consoles and display cabinets, and prepared design intent documentation for fabrication and install teams. I also communicated feedback to contractors and provided on-site support for field art direction during installation.
The project required understanding the chronology of Walt Disney’s journey in imagining and building Disneyland, and translating that narrative into a clear spatial and visual sequence. I learned to consider visitor flow, sightlines, accessibility requirements and health and safety protocols while working within the constraints of an exhibition setting. This experience deepened my understanding of how story, environment and detail work together to create meaningful guest experiences, and marked Hong Kong Disneyland’s unveiling of its first bronze Walt Disney statue.
